Season Starts
A quick update on forthcoming events
News for the start of the 2025/6 club year.
Our first meeting is at 7.30pm on 9th September at Bittaford Village Hall. It’s a “Show and Tell”
It’s a chance to inspire other members with your new images, ideas and experiments and get valuable comments and suggestions in return. Each member will get about 8 to 10 minutes.
Septembers outing has been planned for a trip to the Eden project which currently has a wildlife photographer of the year photographic exhibition of 100 images of the natural world. The date for this trip will be the 16th September.
On 23rd September we have a Zoom talk titled “All the gear & no idea” from Roger Hance, FRPS https://rogerhancefrps.com/home winner of the Amateur Photographer of the Year. His photography focuses on intimate landscape, natural history, sport, portraiture and photojournalism to create thoughtful & inspiring images.
Club membership for 2025/6 is £40 for adults, £45 for one adult plus one junior member, also this year £75 per couple living at the same address.

On 6th November it’s the South Devon PDI Challenge (aka “The 4-way Battle), a 4-club DPI competition between Ivybridge, Kingsbridge, Newton Abbot and Plymouth. Each club enters 20 entries, no more than 4 per photographer.
